Alan was born & raised in Cape Town South Africa and worked as a Regional Service and also Sales and Marketing Manager with a number of major vehicle manufacturers in South Africa. At age 40 he brought his family on a new adventure to Denver Colorado where they settled in Aurora.
Alan was brought to the US to open a new Service facility for BMW as Service Director. He and his wife also helped plant a new church in Aurora in the role of assistant Pastor. After successfully seeing the business established he and his wife were sent out by their church in 1990 as missionaries to Neah Bay Washington where Alan worked as Operations Manager for the mission. After two years working among the Makah�s on the reservation Alan and his family moved to the East side of Tacoma to work for New Beginning Home.
Alan & his wife became house parents taking care of unwed pregnant teens. After seeing 15 babies born and helping them adjust back into society he and his wife were assistant pastors in a large church in Tacoma before going back into the market place as a sales and marketing manager with Olan Mills Church Directory Division which he did for 8years.
After eight successful years at Olan Mills Alan was invited to help start two non-profit agencies in Tacoma before going to work out at Rainier School at Buckley as a counselor.
In December 2009 Alan�s son and daughter in law successful computer software entrepreneurs asked Alan and his wife if they would be interested in running the travel agency his wife had worked in for twelve years.
Alan and his wife have always been open to a challenge and so you will find them rebuilding and setting Adventure Travel on a new path to success.
